Jay Witter brings sixteen years of legislative, political, and management experience to his role as the Senior Director of Government Affairs at AAHomecare. His expertise serves him well in advancing legislative initiatives on Capitol Hill and coordinating political activities. Jay’s background includes working on Capitol Hill for several House of Representatives members, providing valuable knowledge of legislative and political processes and cultivating relationships that assist his lobbying efforts for homecare issues.

Affiliations and Contributions:

• United American Nurses (UAN): Before joining AAHomecare, Jay served as a senior lobbyist for UAN, AFL-CIO. In this role, he oversaw the organization’s legislative, regulatory, and political policies and positions.
• 2008 Presidential Election: During the 2008 presidential election, Jay collaborated with a majority of the candidates on pro-nurse policies and initiatives. He was also appointed to Obama’s Health Care Policy Committee and organized a “Nurses for Obama” campaign.
• American Chiropractic Association (ACA): Prior to UAN, Jay worked as the VP of Government Relations at ACA. His successful collaboration with ACA members led to the passage of six specific chiropractic bills into law over six years.
