Julie Gleason is an Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing in Hematology/Oncology at the UnityPoint Community Cancer Center for the past 13 years.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa College of Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing, with her Family Nurse Practitioner degree, from Allen College.  She has a passion for helping cancer patients navigate their illness with as much grace and dignity as possible.  She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology (APSHO), and Iowa Nurse Practitioner Society.  She resides in Denver, Iowa with her husband and four children. She is active in her church. She enjoys exercising, being outdoors, coaching her children in basketball and soccer, and attending her children’s activities.
