Kelsey Burke is the Vice President of Human Resources for VGM Group, Inc. In her role, Kelsey develops and facilitates strategic initiatives to support the achievement of the organization’s goals, particularly from the perspective of the impact on people. Kelsey consults with leaders and maintains a knowledge base of progressive HR practices and key trends. She is responsible for creating, evaluating, and implementing policies that align with the company’s culture. She oversees employee relations, onboarding, employee engagement, legal compliance, risk mitigation, as well as benefit and wellness initiatives and strategy. Kelsey also provides analytical oversight of workforce data to inform business decisions. 

Kelsey began her career with VGM in 2007. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa, as well as a certification with the Society for Human Resources Management as a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and with the Human Capital Institute as a strategic Human Resource Business Partner (sHRBP). She serves as a board member for Leader Valley, holds the role of President-elect with the Cedar Valley chapter of Society for Human Resource Management, and is an active Wish Granter with Make-A-Wish Iowa. Kelsey is married to her husband Ryan, and they have three kids Declan (7), Norah (5) and Caleb (3). There’s never a dull (or quiet) moment in their house!
